Two Full Custom Projects at Once 

February 16, 2010 - Tacoma, WA 

The shop is really starting to pick up. The weather sure has been nice and it's getting people in the mood for riding.  And while the service, repairs, and upgrades are keeping us very busy, we are also taking on two full custom projects at the same time.  Project one is a Venom Chopper we have been planning for a while now.  The other is a Merc Softail.  You can follow both bike projects on our Current Project page where we will post photos of the progress.     

American Motorcycles Joins Puppy Putt 8

January 27, 2010 - Tacoma, WA 

Last year the Puppy Putt Run came through Tacoma and made a stop at American Motorcycles.  This was our first time teaming up with this group and it was a lot of fun and raised money for a good cause. We are happy to announce that we have teamed up with these folks again in 2010. Puppy Putt 8 will take place June 19, 2010 and raises money for Guide Dogs of America which trains and places guide dogs for the blind.  Registration, route info, and all the details will be out int he coming months.  

Back to Winter Hours

October 1, 2009 - Tacoma, WA

This year American Motorcycles tried something new - we opened 7 days a week.  The feedback we got from our customers was great.  People loved being able to stop in and get parts, or service on Mondays when other shops were closed.  Sunday was still slow - and was expected, however the expansion of hours overall was a big success. With the end of the riding season though, now is the time to change back to our winter hours.  Our new hours are Tuesday thru Friday 10am-6pm and Saturday 10am-4pm.  We will be closed Sunday and Monday.   We will revisit expanded hours in the spring.
